I hope you are all having a lovely weekend, the sun is shining and I can get away with no coat again :) Stéphane and I took a stroll up Mount-Royal street and had a yummy dinner at Aux Vivres, it was so good! I snapped a quick picture of Stéphane isn't he cute? ;)

I found these sweet little blue and white polka dot suspenders yesterday in Chinatown for dirt cheap, I got a green pair too! I never really liked suspenders before but the idea grew on me, I have a great pair of cream lace ones from SWANclothing that I plan on wearing very soon. 

I can't wait for tomorrow, I get to take my bike out for a spin, awwee how I love Spring!

Yesterday, I got this lovely little clothes line broach in the mail, when I first saw it on my tumblr feed I was taken away by the cuteness of this sweet little piece of jewelry. I came across this blouse at Annex Vintage last week, I love the cartoon tiger print on it with the big pointed white collar and cuffs. I have quite a few crazy printed blouses in my closet and I was having such a hard time styling it for real life till I met this denim circle skirt. I find that when styling a crazy vintage piece like this blouse the best way to go is with modern up to date basics, it makes me feel less like I am wearing a costume.

I know I keep talking about the weather but it sure has been nuts! Last week was Summer and today is back to nasty Winter weather, there is actually snow on the ground this morning, I guess the fancy shoes will have to go in hibernation for a few more weeks ;(

I hope you all had a lovely weekend, I took it easy yesterday and did some organizing in my new studio space, I am getting inspired to make new designs and ready to start producing again in the next few months. I am taking baby steps and rethinking a few things as I go. So far so good, I found the perfect printed cotton for the "Bord de la mer" dress I made last year and I found a leather place so new Spring leather peter pan collars will make an appearance very soon in my shop. I can't wait to share with you all!

This is yesterday's look, fun and colorful, I played with different patterns and textures like the mat black and white print of the dress and shiny plastic from my necklace. This necklace is from the H&M for Marni collection, it really is a statement piece, I love the sound it makes :) I got my hair cut on Friday evening in preparation for a new hair color that I will be getting next Tuesday! I am going a soft medium brown, it is pretty close to my natural hair color, dark chocolate brown. I am so tired of this black hair I feel like a lighter color will soften my facial features and feel less heavy plus it will be perfect for Spring! I will be spending the whole day at the salon but I am so excited and scared at the same time. Have you gone from jet black to something lighter? How was it? Did it turn out like you wanted?

It has been a beautiful week here in Montreal, we beat all time records for warm weather in March. I don't think I ever saw this in my life, people wearing short skirts bare legged and flip flops, I was not that adventurous in my way of dress this week because my brain is still in Winter mode. On Tuesday I rolled up my pants and went sock less but then regretted it when I got 3 blisters!

I wore this outfit went I hung out with my friend Alex we went fabric shopping and had lunch, I was comfy and felt chic at the same time, these are my favorite types of outfits. These black slack were such a great thrift score during the Winter months and I just now started to wear them, maybe because I like the look of them rolled with no socks and flats. The pom pom blouse has been in the back of my closet for a while, it was a piece I was unsure of how I would style because of the crazy pom pom hem and print but paired with simple black skinny slacks makes it look current and chic don't you think?

Blogger meet up and Vintage Shopping

On Tuesday I met up with Virginie of Virginie's Cinema in the Mile end area where we had lunch and chatted up a storm and then headed to Vintage Mart for a private vintage shopping session thanks to the ladies that run Cheap Opulance Vintage and Caesar Pony Vintage. We had so much fun trying on outfits and snapping pictures left right and center, what a ball we had!

Virginie got this really cute chevron pastel striped dress from Caesar Pony and I got the pink wrap style dress and pastel yellow silky skirt and cobalt blue sheer blouse from Cheap Opulance, there as so much to choose from and everything was so lovely, these ladies really know how to take care of you while you shop they even set us up a rolling rack.
