At Sunset

Today was perfect, I think I understand California weather now, my favorite time of the day is around 5ish, Stéphane and I have been watching the sunset everyday while walking and holding hands. The food here is so good! We have been visiting diner style restaurants and eating cheese burgers and sipping on cold lemonade.

We really like Venice beach, it feels almost city like, we did not really dig the Malibu area since the weather was cold and everything seems to be gated and out of reach. Why do people feel the need to hide here? Venice is pretty nice because there are people everywhere walking and enjoying the sun and beach. We are both in culture shock,  California by the beach is not like Montreal or New York but I think we are finding what we like here and are learning how it all works in a big city that is so spread out. In Montreal and New York you can spend hours in just one neighborhood but here you need a car and patience with traffic I swear the first few days we spent half of our days in the car. We decided to spend more time just enjoying Santa-Monica. But anyways, enough rambling, it is very pretty here and it makes for great backdrops for outfit posts, if only we had this weather back in Montreal ;)

I am wearing a new dress that was added to my wardrobe, it is by Canadian designer Birds of North America. I really do love this style of dress, it fits perfect and did I mention it has pockets?
