Cougar Pillow Boots Review Part 1

Last week I received a pair of limited edition pillow boots by the Canadian boot company Cougar in collaboration with Matchstick. I was asked to review these limited edition boots made of soft Italian leather with soft red lining. These boots are a modern version of the original Pillow boot that made it's debut in 1976. These are a Canadian classic, they can be worn laced up or with the tongue out.  These babies will keep you dry, warm and stylish in any Canadian weather. I had no problems coming up with an outfit to go with these they are so versatile, you can wear them with tights, knee high socks, jeans or even a 70s wool maxi skirt. I can't wait for Winter now! I have so many stylish outfits planned for these boots. Thank you Cougar and Matchstick for letting me test drive these amazing boots!

Summers almost gone

Wearing:
-Vintage 70s blue stripped blazer
-H&M, stripped tee dress
-Vintage red bag
-Levis skinny jeans
-Red booties by BC found at Buffalo Exchange in Brooklyn New York
-Bracelet by Anjolee
-Lip color by Lime Crime in Retrofuturist

I quickly took these pictures on my roof top yesterday after work, the sky was overcast and it made it easy for picture taking. When I woke up it was pretty crisp outside, that means perfect layering weather. Something I have not been able to do in a few months.

I love the pop these red boots give to a simple chic and casual outfit, finding the vintage red bag to match was just a coincidence. The best part of these booties is the heart on the side with a tassel so cute!  I know its to soon to say but I can't wait for Fall and being able to pile on the layers and have some fun color blocking and pattern mixing again. Summer makes it so hard.
I better get back to working on all my projects now!

Back to school inspirations

Wearing:
-Vintage Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress
-Coach leather back pack
-Pink knee high socks by Calvin Klein
-Vintage Salvatore Ferragamo flats

I woke up today after a wonderful day with fellow Canadian bloggers and felt refreshed and ready for a new day. I was so inspired yesterday by all sorts of words and pictures I saw. I decided to make an outfit post with a back to school feel, my school days are way behind me now but I still love to feel that nice mild wind on my face and to have that feeling of excitement and a  feeling of adventure. My adventure was on a roof top   and climbing a spiral stair case to get to it.

I decided to go way back in my closet and fish out this vintage Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress, I adore this simple black and white print, this cut is flattering on all sorts of body types. My vintage Ferragamo's are so comfy and chic and give the perfect back to school touch to this outfit. I picked up some bright pink knee high socks by Calvin Klein a while back and added a shrunken vintage trench coat and Coach leather backpack.

Secret House

Wearing:
-Supayana dress
-Goldenponies leather triple strap sandals
-Vintage bag from YeYe Vintage Boutique
-Socks H&M

Its been an other crazy busy weekend, visiting family, shopping and getting ready to leave in a few hours for Toronto. I am going to an Addition Elle styling event where I will style two looks on real models and I will meet a bunch of fellow Canadian bloggers. I am pretty excited but also nervous at the same time. I will share with you all later this week.

This dress I am wearing is by my friend Yana over at Supayana, I picked it up back in the Winter months and now it is finally great weather to be wearing this fabulous frock.  I love the white double peter pan collar and the lace bib on the front. it is so light and breezy and perfect for hot summers days.

Stephane took these pictures out and about our lovely neighborhood, there is this pretty little house hidden away, covered by trees, I wish I lived there, it's so pretty and looks like from a movie. I am glad we still have cute old houses like this one in Montreal.

One dress in Old Montreal

Last Sunday was quite the busy day, had a quick photo shoot with the new Bord de la mer dress I made the weekend before, took more pictures of vintage for the shop and then had a BBQ over at my mothers. My mom blogs over at Style Montreal Sud-Est, she loves color and thrifting and vintage clothing as much as I do. Please be sure to check her blog out.

Stéphane took some magnificent pictures of my dress, Old Montreal is the perfect backdrop. I want to make it there a few more times before it gets to cold to do outfit posts outside. Some of these pictures were taken in the garden at Château Ramezay and the rest in the streets of Old Montreal.

The dress is now available in my shop in a size medium I will be making an other in Lilac and posting it soon. I can't wait for the weekend and for my afternoon trip to Toronto to style an event with some of my fellow Canadian bloggers. I will take my ipod with and keep you all updated via twitter, tumblr and Instagram.

Color Rush

Wearing:
-Vintage Op Hawaiian dress thrifted
-Sailor rope belt, XXI
-Wedges by Nine West, thrifted
-Vintage red purse, thrifted

We took these pictures yesterday, right near a place called Carré St-Louis, these pictures were actually taken  near the house of Quebecois poet Émile Néligan. I liked the big side walk and the shade from the trees and the old row houses. If your a visitor in Montreal this is a great place to visit, there is a park with a fountain in the middle and a cute French style cafe with bright yellow wooden chairs.

I am pretty excited about next Sunday, I was invited to go style with a team of Canadian bloggers in Toronto for a Plus size model styling event. This should be really interesting and a great Sunday afternoon adventure! I will be taking loads of pictures!

Stéphane got a new doo yesterday, I am quite fond of this new hair style, the hairdresser did a great job.
I decided to take this Hawaiian dress out of my shop and to keep it, it's just to nice! I picked up the red purse earlier this week on one of my thrift adventures. Stéphane got us a truck and we hit a bunch of different places in no time. I will be adding a bunch of vintage goodies in my shop later this week along with an other "Bord de la mer" dress in baby blue.
