Living it easy on a Sunday afternoon

We have been having a beautiful weekend here in Montreal, it was warm enough to wear no jacket this after noon, it was perfect for wearing my new Supayana top!

Have you seen Supayana's shop on etsy? If not your really missing out on some of the best recycled gems of our time!

Stéphane took these pictures of me out in the alley and we passed a bush of pretty flowers and he really wanted a pretty shot of the bees, I think he got the money shot.

I adore this top with a vintage scarf on the front, it is so comfy and goes with pretty much anything in my closet, thank you Yana for making such lovely clothing :) I kept this outfit pretty casual for this lovely Sunday afternoon. My jeans are vintage Levis 646's, they have a slight bell shape and a perfect high waist. I toped it off with a silk polka dot scarf tied in a bow with black leather clogs I thrifted and my trusty leather satchel bag.

Hope you are all having a nice Sunday.

These little old houses

It is finally the weekend and we are so exhausted from this long week. We ended up spending our Saturday running errands here and there all over the city by bike, metro and bus. It feels good to be home and to listen to our new records. I got my self a Peggy Lee record, not so sure how I feel so far but it's not to bad...

We took these pictures all on the same cute little street in Villeray,Montreal, I was really interested in the little blue one, no one seamed to live inside. I took this picture of the inside, look at those wood walls, it really looks like a poor family's house from back in the 30s. The first picture was taken in front of this little red brick house that looks like out of a children's book. I just love how these little houses are still standing today.

I had no time to add new items in the yeye etsy shop but tomorrow I will shoot all the men's and new women's items for my shop and add them no later then Tuesday.

It was a pretty sunny day with a gentle breeze, great for fall layering! My favorite time of year!

Sparkle me blue

I hope you are all having a nice week, I have been taking advantage of the nice Fall weather we have been getting here in Montreal. I was able to take out of my closet this amazing metallic knit dress from my Fall vault. I came across this beauty a few months ago at one of my favorite spots in the city, I love how the skirt is cut in the bias and the diagonal lines of silver, black and blue. I am really into this length lately, mid calf. It is not easy to work around since I have no idea what shoes to wear with some of them but I am getting the swing of it. I really like how it reminds me of the silhouette of the new Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 collection.

My tan trench coat is also vintage from the 70s, I found it last year at a church sale for 10$, my leather belt is from a vintage store in Verdun, I don't really remember the name of the little place but it had some amazing vintage stuff. The brown loafers are also vintage, a thrift find from some time ago, I just got around to wearing them this year.

I can't wait to add new Fall goodies in my shop I will be posting all day on Thursday so please make sure to stop by!

Loving Fall

Bonjour everyone! I have been having a lovely weekend full of ups and downs of emotions but all is well and I am in a new frame of mind and ready to face the world in a whole new way.

I love these boots so much! They really do not get out of my closet a lot but I plan on wearing them for the duration of Fall 2010 which is really short here in Montreal. I am on the prowl for a nice pair of winter boots but no luck so far! I picked up these vintage 60s boots last Summer in Toronto for a steal. Usually vintage 60s shoes and boots are hard to wear since they tend to shrink, these are a 60s boot miracle since they do not hurt my feet. I am also introducing my new favorite bag/mini backpack, I found it while thrifting a few weeks ago. It is a 90s Alfred Sung leather bag. The dress is also vintage from the 70s the bottom half is made of this pretty tan wool with lines of brown and orange with a chocolate brown bodice. I think I may put it in the shop next week since the wool gives me a sore throat(wool allergies). It is such a shame I adore this dress it reminds me of this other one I had in the shop but had to give up because of the allergies. I am also wearing a vintage Lee denim jacket that I thrifted in Manhattan about a month ago for a really great price.

I added a picture of Stéphane's outfit today I like featuring men's vintage style on this blog since there is not a whole lot out there for men who love vintage :) , he was so cute today with his mustard wool tie, he's also sporting a pair of vintage Levis Sta-Prest pants, his favorite model of men's vintage pants, vintage Lacoste Harrington jacket and Pierre Cardin dress shirt with Tan Wallabee Clark's. Stéphane will be contributing to my etsy shop and helping out with adding a collection of men's stuff to YeYe Vintage coming very soon.

I will be adding a bunch of new Fall stuff in my etsy shop this week so keep a look out! I will also be posting here what I added.

Have a wonderful Sunday evening everyone :)

Early Fall

The temperature has dropped here in Montreal. The heatwave of last week really made it hard to look stylish. I have been saving all this Fall/Winter clothing for months now. It's fun to take it out now.

I am wearing in these pictures, it is a pre-Fall look I came up with last night. The black dress was thrifted this summer, it is a black velvet stretch 90s dress with white lace collar, the red purse is thrifted from a few years ago, tights from H&M, socks also from H&M,vintage red wool hat is thrifted and black booties from XXI.
