Here are a few shots from yesterday's outfit. We didint do much for St-Jean, we took pics of new things to up in the YeYe etsy shop and ate good food. After the rain we took a walk and met a yellow slug that freaked out Stéphane and I picked it up and scared him with the little guy. I found this blouse on the sale rack at UO, it's been a while since I have scored on that rack, usually you find myriads of jersey stretch tanks that fall appart after one wash. I really do love it, it reminds me of the Miu Miu Spring 2010 collection with the cutout detail around the neckline. The skirt is thrifted, the purse is this amazing 60s one I thrifted years ago, I forgot I had it! I have a huge collection on the top rack of my closet, I may have to make a clean up someday! The blue floral platforms were also thrifted but they are not vintage just some cheap brand but I adore them to bits.
Do you like my new eyewear? I just had my prescription put into these 60s American Opticals found on etsy. I like that they are not as flashy as my pink sparkly ones.
This year for my birthday my mother gave me this sweet little photo album that belonged to my great grandmother Elsie. She was from a small Ontario town called Morristown. I don't know much about her, just a few personal things my grandmother told me over diner earlier this week. From what was written in this small little Canadian souvenir photo album these pictures date back from 1932 to 1933 at the Feller Institute in a small town in rural Ontario.
My favorite picture is the last one, on the back it, says: "Feller Forest" October 1932. I love that all the girls are wearing socks and shoes and in one of them Elsie is wearing a Bonnie Parker look with pencil skirt and beret.
I hope you all enjoy these long lost forgotten memories from Elsie's past, I wish I could have known her better, but alas I have these great photos of her as a young lady in the 30s, a time when life was simple, internet did not exist and the world was still a beautiful place.
I recently bought myself this VamooseSailor Knot necklace, I am so in love with it I never wanna take it off. The packaging was so cute and came so fast in the mail from England. I have been a fan of her blog for quite some time now, it is very insperational and pretty to look at. I really am tempted to get the bracelet now... I will be wearing this one all summer long!

Tomorrow is official summer! It's nice and warm in Montreal and the sales have started. Right now there is one going on on St-Laurent, but I did not find anything. Yesterday we took a stroll on St-Denis street and all of a sudden it started to poor down rain like crazy! We ended up at a Java U and waited and waited for the rain to stop. After an hour of waiting in that crowded coffee shop, we ventured out even if it was still raining like crazy. We found refuge again in this cute little shop in a basement on St-Denis street called Marché MTL, they had so many cute things! I found these amazing peacock blue jelly sandals for a steal! Only 20$ they are these Brazilian brand called Melissa. My favorite detail on them is the little silver heart and the rhinestone in-crusted in the stem that hold the straps in place. If you live in the Montreal area this is really a great place to visit. Stéphane took these shots yesterday while we were taking a walk to get him a blizzard that he later regretted.
I went wondering around today and decided to take some shots on the grounds of this old church I like. I got a bit of thrifting done and found two tops for the shop and a vintage 60s Pyrex thing to cook food in. It has gold hearts on it :)
I am looking forward to this Thursday, I am working on a new dress with Yana for her Fall collection for Supayana. I will take my camera with me this time. I really like going there, it makes me feel like the fashion world is not such a mean place after all.

This past Sunday we visited Stéphane's folks up in Sherbrooke. It was a beautiful day for taking pictures of big open fields and religious statues. We drove up this huge hill to find Le Sanctuaire de Beauvoir. From what I remember, the little old chapel was built in the 1920's and Nun's run the place for a very long time. Now people go there to pray and do pilgrimages. I saw a few people in wheelchairs in the old chapel hoping for a miracle. I didn't stay long but captured this picture of one of the little windows with a sheep. I also visited the little gift shop and bought a key to paradise pendant. Stéphane's mom took us and I am very thankful to her for doing so :)
I had a really hard time with the bugs! I had a hard time keeping a happy face, I got a few bug bites but it was worth it ! On top of the bug bites I had major allergies to all the pretty flowers and leaves in the trees, I wish I could have layed in the long grass but I was so affarid to meet a field snake! Yikes! I really am affraid of them! I can't even look at them in books or on the television. But anyways... I felt relaxed when we got home and I was happy to be back in the city even if it was pourring like crazy :)
I won't be posting new items up in the etsy shop today since we had to go up there but I will be adding them this week :)
