Last nite me and St├ęphane went on yet an other thrifting adventure at two of our favorite spots. We found two great items for St├ęphane, a pair of blue and white gingham 70s trousers and a black and white 70s polo tee that he adores. I also found him a really nice John Lennon camel wool paperboy cap.
I had no luck at the first thrift store but boy did I get some when we arrived at the second one. I found these two amazing early 60s dresses in amazing condition! The first one, is paisley and fitted. It is actually dead stock vintage. It has the originals tags and has never been worn from the looks of it the price for the tiem was 10$. I coulden't beleive my eyes and for only 7.99$ CAN. The lovely summer dress came with it's matching belt and bolero. The dress is a perfect fit and I can't wait for Spring\Summer 2010 to arrive! The other dress I can actually wear now since it is a fully linned houndsthoot wool dress. It has those little details I love. The back of the dress has buttons down the back and welt button holes and zips up half way. The hemline has this amazing pleated detail with black cross grain ribbon. There is more ribbon used at the bottom of the sleeves too. Ive been pretty lucky with the thrift finds latelly I hope it dosen't burn out to quickly! This dress was also 7.99$ CAN. So two amazing vintage dresses for only 16$ is pretty hard to beat!
